One Night Out Event Update

Hello all Blog readers,

We would like to inform you that the One Night Event is approaching. On the 11th of March until the 12th of March, 2011, we are inviting all grade 6 and 7's at Jules Quesnel to come and expirience what it like to be homeless.

There will be many activities that are organised to educate students about homelessness. Activities include; quests for survival, several skits, story telling and much more.

Buy your tickets on Monday, the 7th of March, 2011. Each ticket is 5 .00$ and all the proceeds will go to charities that help the homeless. Our students leaders will be selling tickets outside the school after school ends. Please note that we are only selling 60 tickets, so first come, first serve.

Be prepared for sleeping over night at Queen Elizabeth Elementary, it will not have heating. the reason for this is we decided it will be easier to expirience homeless if we are actually living it.

So bring the following:
  1. One sleeping bag and pillow.
  2. One Flashlight
  3. Your dinner if you decide you want to eat there (please note, you cannot leave a mess.)
  4. Toilletries and other things you would need to spend the night away from home.

Try to bring very little belongings, and no electronics.

We hope we see you there.

-The JQ Student Leadership Team.
